About Us
In 1987 a group of Air Traffic Controllers in Dallas, Texas decided they wanted to create an opportunity for the workforce to get together off the job and engage in some recreational fun. (Stress Reduction)
The first year in Taos, New Mexico 28 controllers from around the USA gathered for a few days of skiing and socializing and so the “Skifest” was born.
In 1992 3 controllers from Frankfurt ACC saw the advertisement flyer and wrote about joining in on the fun. Why not? So the “Skifest” became the “International Skifest”
Now years later, the “International Air Traffic Controllers Skifest” has become a week of group fun hosting Air Traffic Controllers from around Europe, North America, Australia or where ever they may come from! We like people involved in aviation as well.
The “International Skifest of North America” belongs to all of you that have shared a chair lift, a favorite drink, and a night of entertainment together!
I sincerely hope you have found this web site informational. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, ideas, or concerns
