Here’s the latest info for Skifest 2015. The location will be Keystone, Colorado, March 7-14, 2015. We will be staying in the River Run Neighborhood condos. They offer 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condos. The prices for the week will run between $1100 per person (6 people in a 3 bedroom condo), $1200 per person (4 people in a 2 bedroom condo) and $1400 per person (2 people in a 1 bedroom condo). These prices include lodging, 5 day lift ticket (2 of the 5 days valid at any other Vail owned resort – Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge), and 2 apres ski parties. It does not include the opening and closing dinners as I haven’t worked on those yet; I’ve just been trying to get the lodging taken care of first as I know several of you have requested this information.
I received the contract this past weekend and they are requiring me to pay an initial deposit of $1275 that is non-refundable and then a much larger payment ($9,000) in January. The contract needs to be signed by next week. I have to guarantee that there will be at least 20 persons staying in the condos. So what I need from you guys are some firm commitments before I sign the contract. In the past, I haven’t had to upfront all this money and have waited till much closer to the dates of Skifest before I request your money. But Keystone is a popular resort and I understand why they need to guarantee these rooms.
So, I need you to let me know by this weekend if you plan on attending Skifest. By doing that, I can get an estimated headcount on how many will be there. If there doesn’t appear to be enough interest, I will not sign the contract and I will reconsider our options. At the last Skifest, there appeared to be a lot of interest in skiing Colorado. I have been to Keystone and the Summit County area many times and it’s a great place to ski. I think if you ask anyone that’s been there, they would agree.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. I need an estimated headcount by this weekend so please respond if you are serious about attending next year.
Thanks very much,
